Upon arriving in Dubrovnik, you will settle into your accommodation in the Old Town or a more tranquil location. Once that is done, you can begin exploring all the city offers. 

Take a walk along the ancient city walls, which offer stunning views of the city and the Adriatic Sea. Visit the Dubrovnik Cathedral and the Rector’s Palace, both of which are architectural gems. In the evening, you can dine at one of the many restaurants in the city, where you can enjoy traditional Croatian cuisines such as seafood dishes and pasta.

On your second day in Dubrovnik, you will have the opportunity to visit Mount Srđ, which offers breathtaking views of the city and the sea. You can take the cable car, hike to the summit on foot, or even do one for the ascent and another on the descent. 

In the afternoon, you can head to the beach to relax. You can visit Banje Beach, closest to the Old Town, or Lapad Beach, which is a short bus ride away and perfect for kids. If you’re interested in nature, you can also opt to visit the Trsteno Arboretum, home to various trees, plants, and flowers.

On your third day in Dubrovnik, you will have the chance to take a fun ferry trip to the beautiful Lokrum Island, where you can explore the island’s lush natural beauty and observe its wild animals. You can take a hike on one of the island’s many trails, swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic, or simply relax on the island’s beaches.

Today, your family can spend the day at the beach, where you can swim and bake in the sun or take advantage of the many beachside amenities, such as parasailing, jet skiing, and more. 

If you prefer, you can visit Gradac park, which is perfect for kids, as it offers a lush, green environment with plenty of space to run around and play. The park is also relatively uncrowded, offers scenic views of the surrounding area, and is conveniently close to the Old town. The park provides a chance to enjoy a peaceful and beautiful day out away from the crowds and urban tumult.

Your family will have the opportunity to visit the ancient Dubrovnik Walls, a must-see attraction in the city. The walls offer stunning views of the city and the sea and provide a glimpse into the city’s rich history. 

If you are fans of the popular TV show Game of Thrones, you may also want to take a guided tour of the filming locations of the show within the city walls. It will give you a behind-the-scenes look at how the show was filmed and will allow you to see some of the most iconic filming locations from the series in person. Even if you are unfamiliar with the show, the tour guides will provide enough information, context, and historical significance that you will enjoy the tour.

Your kids will love today’s activity as you will explore the city from a different perspective by kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding around the walls. This unique and exciting way to experience the city will give you a chance to see the ancient walls and fortifications from the water, as well as some of the most beautiful views of the city and the sea.

The second-to-last day in Dubrovnik is here, and you can choose between three exciting activities to end your holiday on a high note. You can visit Cadmos Village Adventure Park, which offers a range of adventure activities such as ziplining, rock climbing, and more.

The second option is taking a boat trip to Koločep Island and visiting the famous Blue Cave, known for its bright blue waters and stunning natural beauty. But you can always spend a leisurely day at the beach to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy the last moments of your holiday in Dubrovnik.

On your last day in Dubrovnik, before you depart from the city, you and your family have one last opportunity to visit the Sokol Castle near the airport. This castle is a perfect destination for families with children, as it offers a unique blend of history and adventure. 

The kids will love exploring its towers, ramparts, and secret passageways. Visiting the castle will be a great way to end your vacation on a fun and educational note.
